We love this place. It's very attractive, very hip,
with a great crowd, great food and great drinks.

A lot of our friends showed up for the gig,
which helped make for a fun night.

And there are families who dine there, which means
we got to help some babies dance to live music!
Always fun, that.

Tony sings
Above:Tony sings, right. That's Steve on bass at left,
and Doc's disembodied head floating at lower left.
We don't know who that harlequin is at top left. Handsome guy!

Tony
Above: Tony Lacy-Thompson sings.
At left is bassist Steve Ackley.

Doc
Above: Doc is either singing or trying to eat the microphone.
We're not sure which, but we were missing a Shure SM58 after the gig.
Seen in the background, as if peeking over the mic,
are Bridget and Jasmine, two very sharp P.R. pros.
Jasmine joined the band after this gig!.

band
Above: Doc has some fun singing "Honky Tonk Women."
It's easy to know what song it is, because you can see
Steve smacking that cow bell. Also in the photo are Tony and Lesta.

Lesta
Above: Lesta T is just outrageously talented.
Great drummer, great singer and a great dancer!
He left the band not long after this gig, but
we may see him make a quest appearance sometime in the future.

Lesta
Above: Another look at Lesta. Usually he smiles more than this.
Funny thing how serious we get playing fun music.
It's a concentration thing, I think.

Steve and Tony
Above: It's always odd, these little moments in time. Steve, left, and Tony, busy making music. Check out that tiny pick in Tony's hand. It's amazing so little a device helps make such big music.

Tony
Above: Tony playing. He's really an amazing guitarist.
I remember going to a jam with him one time and watching
the looks on other guitarist's faces. Tony has an amazing range
of stuff he plays. Every performance is something new.

Above: The whole band at work. Doc in front, and behind him,
from left, are Steve, Tony and Lesta. Song is probably "Black Magic Woman,"
judging by the position of Doc's fingers. We do it more like the original Peter Green way,
and less like the Santana version.
Our way has that cool jazz vamp at the end.

band
Above: It's all good! Doc in front. Steve and Tony, from left. Lesta is out of frame.
